RambleAmble More Poems Song Lyrics Back to Index

snowmen

we could be snowmen
stick and carrot
hat and groom
a matched yen for immolation

romantics
neither satisfied nor sated
sweetly fated as cocaine

the breath consensual
far from peace
or even finishing

one can't hold the other
without inflicting
common pain

that first demon drink
of the evening
pale by imagining
disappoints the tongue

we could be snowmen
(hooked not quite together)
heads already melting
from the inside
